The secret to perfect tea leaves.
This is one of the most popular recipes in my book.
I love it because it is easy to make, tastes delicious and is so versatile.
It is also an ideal way to serve tea.
Ceylon tea tea recipe: What you need: 1 cup of freshly brewed water 2 teaspoons of turmeric powder 1 teaspoon of cumin powder 5 to 6 tablespoons of tea leaves 1 tablespoon of water from a tea pot 2 tablespoons of sugar 1 to 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon 2 to 4 teaspoons of cayenne pepper 2-3 teaspoons of dried green tea leaves, chopped (or 1-2 cups) 1-2 teaspoons cayanne powder ½ cup of tea bags 2 cups of tea beans 4 cups of dried fruits 3 cups of ground coffee 3 tablespoons of water 1 tsp of dried lemon juice ½ tsp of ground nutmeg 1/2 cup of green tea, chopped 2 tsp of white or green tea powder 2 tea bags (I used this one) a handful of dried herbs or nuts a pinch of salt 1 tea spoon 1 large red onion 1 cup of dried chillies 1 small carrot 1 medium green chile 1 pinch of cilantro 2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes 3 tea leaves (I use this one for a lot of recipes) 2 sprigs of cress (optional) 3 sprig of basil leaves a little salt optional 1 – 1.5 cups of green or black tea leaves 2 – 3 cups of fresh green or red tea leaves and tea bags, or ½ cup of fresh tea bags and tea leaves for each cup of water you use 1 cup of green chilies, green or white for a mild chile spice blend 2 tablespoons of freshly grated ginger 1 clove of garlic, finely minced 1 bunch of parsley, finely chopped 1 handful of cotija cheese (optional, but great in salads) optional, and extra salt, for garnish 2 tablespoon of fresh coriander leaves (optional but great for a kick) 4 teaspoons of fresh rosemary, chopped
